The Bereavement Ministry is one of the newest offsprings of the "Helping Hands" program. Our purpose is to try to comfort and assist grieving members of our parish family through the most difficult time in their lives. All of the facilitators have suffered the death of a loved one, so they know and understand the process of grieving.
We offer two 7-week intensive grieving sessions that are held in the Spring and the Fall. The first week of November, we have a “Mass of Remembrance” for all of our loved ones that have gone to their final resting place. All are welcome to this beautiful candlelight Mass.
In addition to our regular monthly meetings held on the third Tuesday of every month at 7:30 p.m. in the Duchesne Center, a monthly letter is sent to the surviving member of the family letting them know that people care and are there to help. This year we have started on an “Out Reach” program for anyone who would need our help outside our regular meeting.
